VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Coastal Carolina women's golf posted a 289 and finished the opening round of the Evie Odom Invitational at nine-over in second place in Virginia Beach, Va. on Thursday. Georgia leads the tournament after an opening round score of 285.

Ella Murray leads the Chants after shooting a 69 and is tied for second at one-under. Carla Bourdeaux shot a 70 and is tied for fifth at even-par.

The tournament will continue with the second round on Friday.
