CONWAY, S.C. — Sebastian Alexander crushed two home runs and drove in a career-high seven RBIs as No. 21 Coastal Carolina rolled past Campbell 15-1 in seven innings Tuesday night at Springs Brooks Stadium, completing a season sweep of the Camels.
Alexander went 3-for-3 and also scored three times in the runaway win. His three-run blasts in the fourth and sixth innings punctuated a 13-hit offensive outburst for the Chanticleers (21-8), who have won four of their last five games.
Ty Dooley added a two-run single and solo homer, while
Wells Sykes chipped in two RBIs for Coastal, which scored in every inning from the second through sixth.
Luke Jones (1-1) earned the win, limiting Campbell (13-15) to one run on three hits over 5.1 innings with three strikeouts and no walks.
Campbell's lone run came on a solo home run by Darnell Parker in the sixth inning.
Jackson Roberts (2-3) took the loss after surrendering five runs in two innings of relief.
