POINT CLEAR, A.L. – Three Chanticleers finished in the top 11 after the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship on Monday at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, A.L. After the first 18 holes, Coastal Carolina holds the third-place spot at +3 behind Georgia Southern (-1) and South Alabama (+2).
Varatkarn Kunkaew (-1) got off to a strong start for the Chants after posting three birdies and one eagle to end the opening round tied for third overall with a finishing score of 71. Ella Murray (E) ended the first day with an even score and tied for eighth, while Carolina Hortian (+1) ended the day tied for 11th.
