POINT CLEAR, A.L. – The Chanticleer women's golf team ended the second round of the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship in second place on Tuesday at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, A.L. After 36 holes, Coastal Carolina posts a score of +8 and trails only Georgia Southern at +1.

Ella Murray (E) posted her second straight even score to lead the Chants in the second round. Murray is currently tied for eighth in the individual standings. Sara Sarrion (E) picked up her pace in the second round, shooting an even 72 with three birdies. Aoife Devaney (+2) ranked third for the Chanticleers with a 74 on Tuesday. Varatkarn Kunkaew (+3) and Carolina Hortian (+3) each posted scores of 75 in the second round.   

CHANTICLEER RESULTS (ROUNDS 1&2)

Ella Murray (E, 72+72=144): T-8th

Varatkarn Kunkaew (+2, 71+75= 146): T-12th

Carolina Hortian (+4, 73+75=148): T-16th

Aoife Devaney (+5, 75+74=149): T-23rd

Sara Sarrion (+6, 78+72=150): T-26th
