CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team is prepared to host the Chanticleer Challenge this weekend at the Coastal Carolina Beach Volleyball Complex on Friday and Saturday. The Chants will face UAB and UNCW on April 4 before taking on Lynchburg and College of Charleston on April 5. Coastal Carolina enters the week with a 12-10 overall record (4-0 SBC) and looks to continue a four-match winning streak.

WEEKEND OPPONENTS
UAB

• Coastal holds a 2-2 record against UAB.
• Their last meeting came on April 28, 2022, where the Blazers earned a 4-1 win over the Chanticleers.
• UAB holds an 11-9 record this season and stand at 2-1 in Conference USA play.

UNCW

• The Chants lead the series 11-10 over the Seahawks.
• Earlier this season, UNCW took down the Chanticleers 4-1 in Columbia, S.C. on March 16.
• The Seahawks enter the weekend with a 14-5 record and a 3-2 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.

Lynchburg

• This will be the first meeting between CCU and Lynchburg
• Lynchburg has an 8-6 overall record this season.

College of Charleston

• Coastal holds a 10-8 all-time record against College of Charleston.
• The Chants have won six consecutive matches over the Cougars, including a 4-2 victory on March 15 and a 5-0 sweep on March 29.
• College of Charleston enters the weekend with a 5-14 overall record and is 0-6 in Sun Belt Conference play.
