BOONE, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team came up short against Appalachian State, falling 4-1 on Saturday morning in Boone, N.C.
- The Chanticleers dropped the doubles point after picking up losses on courts one and three.
- App State extended its advantage with singles wins at the No. 1 and No. 4 positions to go up 3-0.
- Freshman Brunelle Kouam got Coastal on the board with a 6-4, 6-3 victory on court three.
- However, the Mountaineers sealed the win as Alexi Cleveland outlasted Katya Hersh in a three-set battle on court five to secure the 4-1 match victory.
- The Chanticleers return to action on April 6, facing No. 64-ranked Marshall at 10 a.m. in Huntington, W.Va.
