The Chanticleers (43-11, 25-4 Sun Belt) secured the program's 20th regular-season conference title and first since 2023. With the win, Coastal also locked up the No. 1 seed for next week's Sun Belt Championship in Montgomery, Alabama.

Chad Born reached base four times and scored four runs, while
Colby Thorndyke drove in four with three hits, including a two-run double in the eighth.
After being held scoreless through five innings, the Chants exploded in the sixth. With the bases loaded and no outs, Barrango lined a two-run single to left to ignite a seven-run frame. Coastal added two more in the seventh, five in the eighth, and two in the ninth to finish with its 18th double-digit scoring game of the season.
Jacob Morrison improved to 10-0, striking out seven over five innings while allowing two runs on three hits.
ODU (21-28, 15-14) hit a pair of late home runs but couldn't recover from Coastal's mid-game offensive outburst.
