No. 14 Baseball Blanks ULM 10-0 in Seven Innings to Extend Win Streak to 10

CONWAY, S.C. — No. 14 Coastal Carolina continued its dominant stretch with a 10-0 run-rule victory over ULM in seven innings on Friday night at Springs Brooks Stadium.

The Chanticleers (40-11, 22-4 Sun Belt) notched their 10th straight win overall, 14th consecutive Sun Belt victory, and seventh-straight conference series win.

Jacob Morrison (9-0) tossed six shutout innings of one-hit ball to lead a Coastal staff that faced just four batters over the minimum. Offensively, the Chants exploded for 14 hits, including three from Colby Thorndyke, who doubled twice, scored three runs, and drove in two.

Caden Bodine added two hits and two RBIs, while Walker Mitchell, Chad Born, and Sebastian Alexander each contributed run-scoring hits. Coastal scored in every inning and Alexander's RBI single ended the game with one out in the bottom of the seventh via the 10-run rule.

ULM (21-29, 7-19 SBC) managed just one hit — a sixth-inning single — against Morrison, Chance Mako, and Matt Joyce.

The Chanticleers improved to 23-3 at home this season and will look to complete the sweep Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
