CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to the Belmont Bruins on Sunday afternoon at the CCU Soccer Complex.

• With the loss, the Chants fall to 1-2-1 on the season.
• Belmont struck first in the 9th minute when Kaitlyn Elliot lobbed a ball over goalkeeper Aris Lamanna's head off an assist from Megan Miller to make it 1-0.
• Coastal trailed 5-1 in shots and 2-1 in corner kicks at the break.
• Sophomore defender Silje Nilsen recorded the Chants' lone shot of the first half.
• The Chants dominated the second half, outshooting Belmont 12-1, but couldn't find the equalizer.
• Dolcie O'Connor led the attack with four shots in the match.

The Chanticleers will hit the road to face Louisville on Aug. 31. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
