MIAMI - The Coastal Carolina volleyball team had its six-match winning streak snapped Thursday night in four sets, 3-1 (8-25, 25-22, 16-25, 18-25), by Miami.
Jalyn Stout posted a team-high 10 kills, but the Chanticleers hit a season-low .103 against the Hurricanes.
With the loss, Coastal Carolina is 7-3 overall, while Miami improved to 8-1 with its eighth consecutive win.

Stout was one of only three Chants to hit .200 or better during the match, hitting exactly .200 to go along with those. It was her eighth time reaching double-digit kills this season. She also had eight assists and eight digs.
Emily Fowler and
Anzley Rinard had six and five kills, respectively.
Bailee Earnhardt also registered eight digs, and
Ava Wallis distributed 15 assists.Â

Miami's Flormarie Heredia Colon led all players with 26 kills, and Ariana Rodriguez handed out a match-high 41 assists. Naylani Feliciano collected 11 digs for the Hurricanes.Â

QUICK SET SYNOPSISÂ
• The Hurricanes jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the opening frame en route to a 25-8 victory. Â
• Coastal scored four straight points to break a 10-all tie and take a 14-10 lead. The Chanticleers extended their lead to six, 23-17, on a solo block by Fowler. A 4-0 spurt by the Hurricanes made it a 24-22 game, but Rinard sealed the 25-22 victory with a kill.Â
• Miami scored the first five points of the third set and never allowed the Chants to get closer than two points, 15-13. The Hurricanes ended the match on a 10-3 run to claim a 25-16 win.Â
• Coastal got out to a 7-3 lead in the final set, but Miami ran off six consecutive points to take the lead at 9-7 and never trailed again. The Hurricanes methodically extended their lead to six before Flormarie Heredia Colon ended the set with a kill for a 25-18 UM win.Â

NOTES & STATSÂ
• Stout had her consecutive triple-doubles streak snapped at three matches and her consecutive double-doubles streak snapped at 38 straight matches. The last time she didn't record a double-double was Sept. 21, 2024, against VCU (seven kills, 18 assists, seven digs).Â
• Wallis led the team in assists for the sixth straight match, and
Anna Rita led the team in blocks (4) for the eighth time in 10 matches.Â
• The Chants dropped to 2-1 in true road games and 2-3 against power conference opponents. Â
• Coastal fell to 1-2 all-time against Miami.Â
