Volleyball Winning Streak Ends At Miami

MIAMI - The Coastal Carolina volleyball team had its six-match winning streak snapped Thursday night in four sets, 3-1 (8-25, 25-22, 16-25, 18-25), by Miami. Jalyn Stout posted a team-high 10 kills, but the Chanticleers hit a season-low .103 against the Hurricanes.

With the loss, Coastal Carolina is 7-3 overall, while Miami improved to 8-1 with its eighth consecutive win.

Stout was one of only three Chants to hit .200 or better during the match, hitting exactly .200 to go along with those. It was her eighth time reaching double-digit kills this season. She also had eight assists and eight digs. Emily Fowler and Anzley Rinard had six and five kills, respectively. Bailee Earnhardt also registered eight digs, and Ava Wallis distributed 15 assists.

Miami's Flormarie Heredia Colon led all players with 26 kills, and Ariana Rodriguez handed out a match-high 41 assists. Naylani Feliciano collected 11 digs for the Hurricanes.

• Coastal got out to a 7-3 lead in the final set, but Miami ran off six consecutive points to take the lead at 9-7 and never trailed again. The Hurricanes methodically extended their lead to six before Flormarie Heredia Colon ended the set with a kill for a 25-18 UM win.
