MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The first round of the 2025 Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate has been suspended due to heavy rain.
Given the torrential rain that has fallen and continues to fall on Sunday, the decision was made to resume play tomorrow (Monday) at 9:30 am with the hopes of finishing both rounds one and two.
Coastal Carolina junior Jack Lee was one of a limited number of golfers to complete the first round, carding a 7-under 65. Sophomore Drew Sykes finished his round at 3-under 69, while Coleman Ferguson shot par and Owen Kim shot 1-over. Senior Max Bengtsson was the only member of the Chants' lineup still on the course when play was halted. All four Chanticleers playing as individuals were also in the midst of their rounds.
