NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina's No. 1 pairing of senior Emma Kunaus and sophomore Frida Meincke Lyø have been named the Sun Belt Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week, as announced by league officials on Wednesday.

The weekly honor is the first for the Chants this season. This marks the eighth time in program history that a pair has won a conference weekly award and the fifth Sun Belt Pair of the Week award in program history.

Kunaus and Lyø went 2-2 last weekend at the Chanticleer Challenge in Conway, S.C. with wins over No. 15 FAU (21-15, 15-21, 15-11) and Tulane (21-19, 21-16).

The Chants (4-8) will host the Coastal Carolina Invitational on Friday and Sunday against South Florida, Tennessee Tech, Salem College and Morehead State.
