Women's Basketball Falls to South Alabama in Sun Belt Tournament

PENSACOLA, FLA. — Coastal Carolina women's basketball fell 80-70 to South Alabama in their first game of the Sun Belt Tournament on Wednesday at the Pensacola Bay Center.  

GAME RECAP
Coastal got off to an early lead, outscoring the Jaguars 20-14 in the first quarter. South Alabama took the lead in the second quarter and would not give it up as they secured the 80-70 win to advance to the next round.

COASTAL LEADERS
In her final collegiate game, Kristin Williams led the Chants with 16 points. Kinsea Grimes posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, Coastal shot 40-percent from the field and 33-percent from long-range while making 11 of 24 free throw attempts.
