His coaching background includes collegiate stops at Stetson, Howard, FIU, Virginia Tech, and Morehouse College, where he served as quarterbacks coach and interim head coach while helping lead an offense that ranked among conference leaders in passing efficiency. He has also coached at the professional level with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills, primarily working with wide receivers and running backs. His time with the Panthers included participation in the prestigious Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship.

A former standout wide receiver, Clowney earned All-ACC honors at Virginia Tech, where he also competed as a member of the track team, and was selected in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He played professionally with the Packers, Jets, Panthers, and Bills before transitioning into coaching full-time.
