2021 (Redshirt Sophomore)

  • Played in nine games on the season, making one start in the road game at Arkansas State (Oct. 7)
  • Saw time at safety and also on special teams
  • Finished the season with 14 tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss, 0.5 sacks, and two pass breakups
  • Recorded a season-high four tackles in the win over the Red Wolves
  • Also had four tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a pass breakup in the home loss to Georgia State (Nov. 13)
  • Had three stops and a pass breakup in the road contest at Appalachian State (Oct. 20)
  • Posted two tackles in the home win over ULM (Oct. 2)
  • Added a solo tackle in the road win at Georgia Southern (Nov. 6)


2020 (Redshirt Freshman)

  • Played in 11 games on the year, primarily on special teams
  • Recorded 13 total tackles on the season, including 11 solo stops
  • Had perhaps the biggest tackle of the season in the win over No. 8 BYU (Dec. 5), as he tackled wide receiver Dax Milne at the one-yard line as time expired to secure the program's first-ever FBS top 10 win for the Chanticleers
  • Recorded a season-high three solo tackles in the home win over Arkansas State (Oct. 3)
  • Also had two solo tackles in back-to-back wins over Texas State (Nov. 28) and nationally-ranked BYU
  • Finished with two tackles in the home win over Appalachian State (Nov. 21)
  • Tallied one solo tackle at Kansas (Sept. 12), versus Campbell (Sept. 19), and in the win over Georgia Southern (Oct. 24)

  • An outstanding athlete that started his senior season at cornerback and wide receiver, but moved to quarterback midway through the season to help move the ball down the field
  • Led his team to its third-straight state title and fifth title game appearance in 2018, going 14-0 overall and ranking No.1 in the state of North Carolina
  • Was key in helping the Cougars extend their winning streak to 45-straight games
  • Was named the state championship game MVP with an interception on defense which he returned 46 yards to set up the Cougars' lone touchdown drive
  • Also had a pass breakup and completed 8-of-15 passes for 71 yards in the title game
  • Completed 39-of-69 pass attempts (56.5 percent) for 779 yards and 11 touchdowns while at quarterback
