- Opened the season as Coastal's top player at the Golfweek Conference Challenge, tying for fifth at 214, 2-under par, including a 69 in the second round
- Finished 11th at The McLaughlin at 211,+1, helping lead the Chants to the team title
- Shot a 68 in the second round of The McLaughlin, his best round of the season
- Led the team with a 19th-place finish in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges, shooting a 217, +1
- Placed in a tie for 21st with a 225, +9, helping the Chanticleers win their seventh-straight Big South Championship
- Tied for 30th at the NCAA East Regional, firing a 69 in round three and a 54-hole total of 217, +7

- Received All-Big South recognition, placing fourth at the 2009 Big South Championship
- Played in all seven spring events for the Chants, averaging 74.05 in 21 rounds played with one top-five and three top-20 finishes
- His par-5 scoring average of 4.7037 ranked sixth all-time in CCU's single-season history
- His team-high five eagles was tied for sixth in the CCU's single-season history
- Had his best finish at the Big South Conference Championship, tying for fourth at 225, +9, helping Coastal win its sixth-straight league crown
- Was the Chants'Â leader at the NCAA Northeast Regional, tying for 11th 221, +8
- Turned in his best 54-hole total at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational, posting a 212, 4-under par, to tie for 18th overall
- Twice posted a 68 for his best round of the year, shooting the score in the second round at Augusta State and again in the final round of the NCAA Regional
- Did not play in any tournaments in the fall schedule as he continued his rehabilitation from an injury
- Tied for third at the 2009 Southeastern Amateur, tied for fourth at the South Carolina Open, and tied for fifth at the South Carolina Amateur during the 2008 summer action

- Redshirted his true freshman year due to injury, retaining the year of eligibility

Prior to Coastal Carolina
- Was ranked as high as eighth in the state Boys' rankings and 23rd in the nation according to GolfWeek's Junior Boys' Ratings of the Class of 2007
- Was a 2006 Class 3A All-State selection and a three-time Region 1 Player of the Year
- Finished in the top-15 of three American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments the summer of 2006, as well as placing sixth at the GolfWeek Top-100 event
- Played for the victorious South Carolina squad in the 2006 matches versus Canada, his second-straight season on the team, as well as playing in the 2005 Carolinas Versus Virginias matches
- Honored as the Wendy's High School Heisman nominee in 2007 from Seneca High School
- Was also a member of the honor roll, the National Honor Society, and Who's Who of American High School Students
