Elizabeth Metress joined the Coastal Carolina women’s basketball staff as the director of women’s basketball operations in May 2022.
Metress came to Conway after spending five years working with the Georgia Bulldogs women’s basketball program as both a student manager and graduate assistant coach. She began her career as a student manager in 2017 until 2020 when she was promoted to a graduate assistant coach.
From 2015 to 2019 she worked as a basketball camp counselor with Big G Enterprises, Augusta University, Grovetown High School, and the University of Georgia. Metress was a volunteer assistant coach for the Georgia Sting (2016-17) and Columbia Middle School (2014-16) where she mentored young girls on and off the basketball court and supervised study halls before practices.
Metress holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a minor in sport management along with a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Georgia.
