Coastal Carolina head indoor volleyball coach Jozsef Forman announced the addition of Justin Stack to the Chanticleer coaching staff. Stack will serve as the head coach of the beach volleyball team and act as the director of operations for the indoor squad in 2016-17.

In his first season at CCU as the beach volleyball head coach and in just the program's second year in existence, the Chants went 1-15 overall and 0-10 in Atlantic Sun Conference play.0 Coastal's top flight of Tahleia Bishop and Natasa Savovic led the Chanticleers with a 10-6 overall record on the season, including a win against No. 10 South Carolina's top pairing to open the season. Coastal hosted the program's first-ever home matches in 2017 and debuted the brand new Coastal Carolina Beach Volleyball Complex on April 14-15 with matches against North Florida, Jacksonville, and Mercer.

Senior Tahleia Bishop graduated with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average to be voted to the 2017 ASUN All-Academic Team.

Stack brings to Coastal Carolina years of indoor volleyball coaching experience across various levels of competition, including collegiate coaching stints at Monroe College, Hunter College, and Baruch College. He also has several years of beach experience as both a coach and player. Stack has trained with and coached several FIVB and AVP professionals including Julien Prosser, the No. 1 seed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He has also conducted adult and youth clinics and helped organize the 2007 US Open Central Park Volleyball Clinic.

Stack was the head women's volleyball coach at Monroe College for the 2010 season, during which time he led the Lady Mustangs to a 28-8 overall record and an appearance in the final of the NJCAA Women's Division II District L tournament.

A year of serving as the assistant athletic director at Hostos Community College in 2009 followed a two-year stint as associate head coach of the Division III men's and women's volleyball teams at Hunter College -- Stack's alma mater -- from 2007-09.

While at Hunter, Stack led the men's program to a division title, conference championship, national ranking of 11th and an ECAC championship, the first in 15 years for any sport at Hunter. He also successfully led the women's side, helping the Hawks to conference regular season and championship titles in 2007, and a fifth seed in the NCAA tournament. Stack and the Hawks repeated as conference champions in 2008 en route to a sixth seed in the NCAA tournament.

Before coaching at Hunter, Stack served as the head men's volleyball coach at Baruch College for four seasons. While there, he orchestrated two CUNY Athletic Conference championships and led his team to a Division III national ranking of 15th for the first time in program history. His efforts led to CUNYAC Coach of the Year honors in 2005 and 2006.

Stack has also coached volleyball at York Prep High School, as well as various girls youth camps including Nike Volleyball in San Diego, Columbia University Volleyball Camp, and NYC Juniors Volleyball Club. He has additionally served as a volleyball official in the state of New York.

Stack earned a bachelor of arts degree in 2002 from Hunter College where he was a four-year standout on the Hawks volleyball team, leading them to two CUNYAC championships and a NECVA championship appearance in 2001. He was named the CUNYAC Tournament MVP in 2001, was twice voted to the all-tournament team and was a two-time first-team All-NECVA selection.
