Nikki Brown joined head coach Jo Chubb's coaching staff as an associate head coach in January 2025.
"I have had the privilege of knowing Nikki for a long time, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome her to our program," Chubb said. "She is someone I trust completely to help elevate Coastal Carolina women's soccer to new levels. Her passion for the game, her dedication to both individual and collective growth, and her relentless enthusiasm for impacting players make her the perfect fit for this role. She is a role model in every sense of the word. Our student-athletes will benefit immensely from her expertise, her energy, and her genuine care for their success both on and off the field. I have no doubt that she will have a lasting impact on this program and on every player who has the privilege of working with her."
Brown began her coaching career at Jacksonville State University from 2013 to 2019, serving as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. While with the Gamecocks she recruited and coached multiple players who received All-Ohio Valley Conference postseason honors, including All-OVC Second Team and All-Newcomer.
From 2019 to 2024, Brown was the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Florida Atlantic University. During her time with the Owls, Brown played a key role in leading the team to a No. 32 ranking in the NCAA RPI and securing the 2019 C-USA regular-season title. Brown coached two C-USA Midfielders of the Year, one C-USA Freshman of the Year, 17 All-C-USA selections, four All-AAC honorees, and one United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American over her five year tenure with the Owls.
As a player, Brown had a decorated career, earning recognition as a three-time Daktronics All-American at North Alabama, a two-time NSCAA All-South Region selection, and a three-time Daktronics All-South Region First Team honoree. She was named to the All-Gulf South Conference team all four years. In 2011, she helped lead the Lions to a Gulf South Conference championship. Off the field, she earned 2011 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American honors and was a three-time recipient of the GSC "Top Ten" Award.
