Women's Tennis Tabbed ITA All-Academic Team

CONWAY, SC — Coastal Carolina University Head Women's Tennis Coach Jody Davis announced today that the 2001 Lady Chanticleers squad has been honored as a Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team.
The ITA honors all collegiate teams with this honor that post a cumulative 3.25 grade point average or higher. While the ITA does not rank the program's receiving this honor, Coastal Carolina's 3.70 team GPA for the 2000-2001 academic year is sure to be among the nation's best.
This honor comes on the heels of the most successful season on the court ever enjoyed by a Lady Chanticleers tennis team. Coastal won the 2000 Big South Conference Championship and advanced to the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament. The 2001 Lady Chants posted an overall 20-2 record and an unblemished 6-0 mark in the conference.
