The Coastal Carolina Athletics Communications Office serves as the primary link between Chanticleer Athletics and local, regional and national media.
The Coastal Carolina Athletics Communications Office provides accurate and timely information about Chanticleer Athletics through news releases, game notes, statistics, publications and direct communication with members of the media.
The latest news, notes, statistics and other information for Coastal Carolina programs are available throughout the year on GoCCUSports.com. Media members needing additional information should contact the Athletics Communications staff member assigned to the appropriate sport.
Photos, videos and logos are also available upon request.
Coastal Carolina Athletics is committed to providing fair and consistent access to legitimate working media while maintaining a professional environment and protecting the academic, competitive and personal responsibilities of Chanticleer student-athletes and coaches. The following policies govern media credentials, interview requests and media access to Coastal Carolina Athletics.
Representatives of recognized and established media outlets may be granted credentials and interview access based on available space and demonstrated coverage of Coastal Carolina Athletics.
Credential consideration may be given to representatives of:
Credential approval will be based on factors including demonstrated history of coverage, editorial independence, journalistic standards, intended use of content, available working space and compliance with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and Coastal Carolina Athletics policies.
Single-game credential requests should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible. Season credential requests should be submitted prior to the beginning of the season.
Media credentials are issued for legitimate news-gathering purposes and remain the property of Coastal Carolina Athletics. Credentials are non-transferable.
Coastal Carolina Athletics recognizes the growing role of digital media, podcasts, newsletters and independent content creators. Credential and interview opportunities may be provided to individuals who have established a history of producing original sports journalism and reaching a meaningful audience.

Credential and interview requests from independent and digital media will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
All requests for interviews with Coastal Carolina Athletics administrators, coaches and student-athletes must be coordinated through the Coastal Carolina Athletics Communications Office.

Coastal Carolina Athletics may limit the number or frequency of interview requests and determine the appropriate interview format and availability based on academic, competitive and operational considerations.
Rights holders and established media organizations may receive priority when scheduling interviews.
One-on-one interviews and other special requests involving coaches or student-athletes on game day may not be accommodated because of team preparation, competition schedules and postgame responsibilities.
Media credentials issued by Coastal Carolina Athletics are intended solely for legitimate news-gathering and editorial purposes.
Credentialed access may not be used for:
Media credentials do not grant permission to use Coastal Carolina Athletics marks, logos or other intellectual property for commercial purposes.
Credentialed media may distribute legitimate editorial content through traditional and digital platforms, including websites, podcasts, newsletters and social media.
Credentialed access may not be used primarily for influencer marketing, sponsored posts, paid endorsements, commercial video production or content produced on behalf of a third party without prior approval from Coastal Carolina Athletics.
Commercial or NIL-related requests must be coordinated separately through the appropriate Coastal Carolina Athletics personnel and are subject to institutional, NCAA and Sun Belt Conference regulations.
Photography and video access is provided for legitimate news-gathering purposes and is subject to available space, venue restrictions and applicable broadcast agreements.
Unless approved in advance by the Coastal Carolina Athletics Communications Office or the appropriate rights holder, credentialed media may not:
NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, broadcast partner and Coastal Carolina Athletics video-use and broadcast-rights policies supersede any privileges provided by a media credential.
Media credentials are a privilege and may be suspended or revoked by Coastal Carolina Athletics when an individual or organization fails to comply with established media policies.

Issuance of a credential or approval of an interview request is a privilege and not a right. Coastal Carolina Athletics retains discretion in approving or denying requests based on professional standards, available space, operational considerations and the responsibilities of its student-athletes and coaches.
Media seating, photography locations, parking, credential pickup, press-box or media-room access and postgame interview procedures may vary by sport and venue.
Credentialed media must remain in designated working areas and follow instructions provided by Coastal Carolina Athletics staff, game management personnel and applicable NCAA or Sun Belt Conference representatives.
Sport-specific information regarding Brooks Stadium, the HTC Center, Springs Brooks Stadium and other Coastal Carolina Athletics venues will be provided by the appropriate Athletics Communications contact when credentials are approved.
