MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — UNCW guard Jennifer Kapper scored 15 points, to help led a balanced Lady Seahawk attack, as UNCW defeated Coastal Carolina, 87-55, Friday night at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Coastal (4-3) got off to a fast start, outscoring UNCW, 21-8 in the first 9:18 of the first half. Junior guard Nikki Reddick led the Lady Chant run with nine points.

However, UNCW (7-0) would go on a 15-0 run over the next 7:51 to take the lead at 23-21. But that would be the last time CCU saw the lead, as the Lady Seahawks outscored Coastal, 12-6 to finish the first half, and take a 35-30 lead into halftime.

UNCW put the game away early in the second half, as the Lady Seahawks went on a 15-7 run in the first 6:13 to extend its lead to 50-37.
