CHARLOTTE, NC — The CCU men's cross country team placed 22nd out of 25 teams in the university championship division at the Great American XC Festival, held at the Ballatyne Reort in Charlotte.
Sophomore Terah Kipchiris was the top runner for Coastal, placing 26th with a time at 27:14 for the 8k course.
Other individual finishes for the Chanticleers were Nelson Oliveria (85th, 28:15), Johnny Mitchell (136th, 29:40), Michael Killoran (148th, 30:28), Mark Heidecker (152nd, 30:39)and Justin Foxworth (158th, 31:27).
The CCU men's cross country team will next compete in the South Carolina State Meet on Oct. 5 at Clemson, S.C.
