CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Coastal's Amber Campbell placed second in the weight throw at the UNC Indoor Track Invitational, Jan. 31. Campbell's throw of 21.11m (69'3.25") is her second NCAA automatic qualifying mark of the season, and she finished second behind Dawn Ellerbee, a former Olympian.
Other top finishers for Coastal were freshman Claudia Witte, who came in second in the 5,000-meter run, and junior Anne Marie Moutsinga, placing fifith in the 3,000m. Freshman Chasity Johnson posted a third-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 11.8m (38'8.75") and a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.63m (5'4.25"). Also finishing in the top five in their category were freshman Lital Azulay and junior Lindsey Kozlowski, placing fourth and fifth in the 5,000m, respectively.
