Women's Soccer Earns Team Academic Award from the NSCAA
The Coastal Carolina University women’s soccer team was honored with the Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the third consecutive year, the organization announced recently.
The Lady Chants, led by head coach Karrie Miller, earned a spot after earning a cumulative 3.0 grade-point-average or higher during the 2003-04 academic year. Coastal had a 3.29 cumulative GPA and featured Candice Doten, who was named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar-Athlete All-Region Third Team and was a two-time Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
