Johnson Named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coastal Carolina junior men’s golfer Dustin Johnson has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 27-Nov.2, it was announced today by the League office. Johnson took home Medalist honors for the second consecutive tournament this fall, shooting a five-under 211 (73-72-66) to win The Landfall Tradition by two strokes. He shot his best round of the season with a 66 in the final round, helping the Chanticleers record their second consecutive runner-up finish. Johnson, a three-time Golfer of the Week selection already this season, is now the 12th-ranked golfer in the nation by Golfweek. Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina will be the first Big South team to compete in the Hooters Match Play Nov. 11-13, with the invitation based on 2005 national championship finish.
