CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina's men's golf team built a 10-shot lead at the turn and held on for a five-shot victory at the General Jim Hackler Invitational Presented by Active Glass & Marble, Mar. 13-14. The 54-hole event was contested at the TPC of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, S.C.

Coastal won its second consecutive tournament team title for the first time in school history, having won the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee, FL last weekend. The Chanticleers fired 304 in the final round, as scores increased an average of two strokes per individual round in the last 18 holes. CCU finished with a total of 886, five shots ahead of runner-up Notre Dame, who was just one of two teams to break 300 in the final round with a 298 and finish at 891. Purdue (895), Kansas State (900) and Louisville (901) rounded out the top five.
