Women's Tennis Defeats UNC Wilmington, 5-2

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women’s tennis team (15-4, 6-0 Big South) defeated UNC-Wilmington’s tennis team, 5-2, at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, Apr. 5
Senior Virginia Dinh (Maisons Albert, France/Sophia), junior Petra Jantti (Haukiverkko Espo, Finland/Tapiolan Lukio), freshman Sofie Ahlberg (Stockholm, Sweden/Adalsskolan), and sophomore Sarize Coetzee (Bloemfontein) won the four singles matches for Coastal. The doubles matches saw the team of Marie Matrka (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) and Dihn won first match, 8-6, and the team of Jantti/Ahlberg won the second match, 8-6.
Coastal women’s program will next be in action on Wednesday, Apr. 6 as they hosted Big South Conference rival, Charleston Southern at 2:30 p.m.
