CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coastal Carolina freshman Araceli Felgueroso (Madrid, Spain) has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, announced today (Sept. 28) by the League office.

 

In her first collegiate tournament, Felgueroso took home medalist honors at the Unlimited Potential Classic earlier this week.  She broke the school record with a seven-under par 212 (71-70-71), passing the previous record of 216 and winning the tournament by five shots.  It also marked the first time a CCU women’s golfer finished under par in a 54-hole tournament.  Felgueroso led the Lady Chanticleers to a fourth-place finish at the par 73 – 6,149-yard event.
