Men's Basketball Signs Miller to National Letter-of-Intent
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men’s basketball program has signed Devin Miller (Chicago, Ill./Martin Luther King (Kennedy-King College)) to a National Letter-of-Intent, Head Coach Cliff Ellis announced today (Nov. 13). Miller, a 6-5 guard, is averaging 16 points and is shooting 52.9 percent from three-point range this season for Kennedy-King College in Chicago, Ill. Miller also is shooting 47 percent from the floor for the Statesmen. Miller attended Martin Luther King High School and went to prep school at Boys to Men Academy in Chicago. Miller also received interest from Eastern Illinois and Chicago State. “I’m excited about having Devin Miller,” Ellis stated. “He plays for Garland Dildy at Kennedy-King. Garland’s brother was on my staff at Auburn and that’s how I found out about him. He’s a wing player that’s a Chicago kid who’s dad has been around the game and he’s been coached well by his coaches. He’s multi-faceted. He’ll bring defense, he can shoot the ball, he can get to the hole and he rebounds. I think he’s going to be a skilled wing player for us that will help us next year with filling the void of losing Steven Sexton.” Coastal Carolina opens the 2008-09 season Saturday, Nov. 15 against Coker. Tipoff is at 7 p.m., in Kimbel Arena.
