Women's Golf's Felgueroso Named Big South Golfer of the Week (release courtesy of Big South Conference)
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coastal Carolina junior Aruka Felgueroso (Madrid, Spain) has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced today by the League office.
Felgueroso paced the Chanticleers with a 14th-place finish out of 91 golfers at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational (par-72, 6,242 yards), carding scores of 77-80-77 in the 54-hole event. She was five shots out of the top five scorers. Her 77 in the final round helped Coastal Carolina shoot the second-best final round of the tournament with a 307 to move up four spots and tie for seventh in the event.
The Chanticleers return to the course Mon.-Tue., Sept. 29-30 at the CSU Fall Invitational at Coosaw Creek Golf Club in North Charleston, S.C.
