Felgueroso Named Big South Women's Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Coastal Carolina senior Aruka Felgueroso (Madrid, Spain) have been named the Choice Hotels Big South Women's Golfer of the Week, respectively for events played Oct. 1-7, it was announced by the Conference office.
Felgueroso posted her third top-20 finish of the season, tying for third at the EAT-A-PEACH Collegiate (par 72, 6,181 yards) and leading the Chanticleers to a fourth-place team finish. Felgueroso shot a 3-over 147 in the event, including a 1-under 71 in the first round, en route to her highest finish of the fall season. It also was her ninth career top-5 finish and 22nd top-20 finish in 31 career tournaments.
The Chanticleers will wrap up their fall schedule at the 2009 Wendy's Invitational, hosted by Charleston Southern. The tournament will be played Mon.-Tue., Oct. 19-20 at Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston, S.C.
