Baseball Trio to Play for Cape Cod Championship

Rico Noel and the Cotuit Kettleers will face Scott Woodward and Adam Rice of the Bourne Braves in the championship series of the Cape Cod League. Bourne swept Orleans in the three-game series while Cotuit defeated Yarmouth-Dennis in three games.
Noel is hitting .233 with 26 stolen bases, 25 runs scored and two home runs for the Kettleers. He is hitting .333 in the Cape Cod League playoffs.
Woodward is hitting .246 with 28 stolen bases, 29 walks, two doubles, a triple and a home run for the Braves. Rice joined the Braves in the middle of the season and has six RBI and four stolen bases for the Braves. In the playoffs, Woodward has two runs scored and a stolen base.
The three-game series starts Tuesday, Aug. 11 in Bourne. Game two will be in Cotuit Wednesday with an if necessary game on Thursday.
