Men's Tennis Eliminated At ITA Regionals

DURHAM, N.C. - Matt Gordon reached the round of 32 in singles, but was unable to advance any further Saturday at the ITA Regionals from Duke University and the University of North Carolina.
Gordon won his first match by defeating Guy Kubi of Winthrop 7-5, 6-1, but fell 5-7, 7-6, 6-4 in the following round to Ocrum Seyrek of UNC Greensboro.
Freshman Leo Christofides fell 6-1, 6-0 to Chris Mengel of Duke, while Alex Funkhouser dropped a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 decision to Tripp Carleton of Wake Forest.
Yusuke Kusuda lost to Brennan Boyajian of North Carolina to round out competition for the Chanticleers.
