NCBWA 2011 Preseason All-American Team in PDF Format 
CONWAY - After ending 2010 as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) District IV Player of the Year, Coastal Carolina junior pitcher Anthony Meo was named to the 2011 Preseason NCBWA All-American first team.
Meo, previous tabbed second team All-American on Collegiate Baseball's 2011 preseason squad, was also a first team All-American selection by NCBWA at the conclusion of 2010.
The Cranston, R.I., native was a 2010 Golden Spikes Award finalist and Dick Howser Award semifinalist last season, posting a 13-2 record and helping Coastal Carolina to a school and Big South record 55 wins as well as a number overall national seed at the 2010 NCAA Baseball Championship. He ranked second in the NCAA with his 13 wins, while ranking 13th in strikeouts and 29th in ERA as opponents batted just .230 off the right-hander.
Meo was the 2010 unanimous Big South Pitcher of the Year and is a two-time, first team All-Big South pick. In his two seasons, Meo is 21-4 with the Chanticleers, posting a 2.74 ERA with 162 strikeouts and just 66 walks in 173.1 innings pitched.
