Women's Tennis Moves Into National Rankings

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University women's tennis team entered the ITA Tennis Rankings for the first time this season at No. 69, as of the March 16 rankings. The Chanticleers are one of three Big South Conference teams in the rankings, as Winthrop is 59th and undefeated Charleston Southern is No. 65. This is also the first time in league history that three women's teams have been ranked at the same time.
"This national ranking will motivate us to continue to train hard and prepare ourselves for the coming matches," Head Coach Jody Davis said. "Our players are excited to be recognized nationally. Our program here at Coastal continues to improve and this is a team effort for us to be recognized in this latest poll."
The Chanticleers are back on the court Tuesday, March 23, playing at Campbell at 2:30 p.m.
