HIGH POINT, N.C. - Four members of the Coastal Carolina University women's track and field team traveled to the VertKlasse Meeting for a one-day event Sunday, April 25, earning four top-three finishes.
Melissa Arango participated in two events at the meet. In the 100 meters, Arango finished fourth with a time of 13.18 and in the 100-meter hurdles, she placed third with a time of 14.99.
Kierra Gabe brought home two second place finishes at the event. In the 200 meters, she earned second after running 26.12.
In the high jump, Gabe cleared 5'5.25" (1.66m), earning her a second place finish.
Estefania Ramirez was the lone Chanticleer in the 400-meter hurdles, running 1:07.63 to finish fourth.
Joining Gabe in the high jump, Kristen Burpoe took home third place with a 4'7.50" (1.41m) jump.
The Chanticleers head to Lynchburg, Va., for the Liberty Twilight Thursday, April 29.
