CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina University signee Jacob May (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West) was selected in the 39th round by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2010 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft June 9.

May, a catcher, was a First Team All-Greater Miami Conference, All-Butler County and All-City selection his junior year at Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio. May also was a Second Team All-Ohio selection. He was a Cincinnati Enquirer All-Star and was on the QueenCityHigh.com All-Ohio team in 2009 and is a 2009 Perfect Game USA Rawlings Preseason All-America Honorable Mention.

Coastal Carolina hosts South Carolina Saturday, June 12 at 12 p.m., in game one of the 2010 Myrtle Beach Super Regional.
