COLLEGESPORTSMADNESS.COM - Coastal Carolina's Angelica Henry has been named the CollegeSportsMadness.com Big South Conference Player of the Week for games played Nov. 21-28.
Henry, a sophomore, scored a career-high 16 points as she led the Chanticleers to a 66-56 victory at Western Carolina on Nov. 22. The Indianapolis native poured in all 16 of her points in the first half on 4-of-6 from the floor and 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. The guard scored 11 of her points during the Chanticleers' game sealing 16-2 run to end the first half. Additionally, Henry recorded five steals and two assists in the contest.
This season, the first year starter is Coastal's second leading scorer averaging 10.3 points per game. Henry leads the Chants with 12 assists and a 48.4 shooting clip.
The Chanticleers, who own a perfect 4-0 record, are averaging 74.5 points per game while holding their opposition to 50.5 points per game.
