Women's Indoor Track Concludes Tiger Paw Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University women's indoor track and field team concluded the Tiger Paw Invitational Saturday, Feb. 12 with five top 10 finishes on the final day. The meet featured 32 teams and over 1,200 athletes as the Chanticleers tallied 14 top 10 finishes at the event.

Santresa Jamison captured the team's first event win of the 2011 season in the 400 meters with a time of 56.82. Vondeeshia Humphries joined Jamison in the top 10, placing seventh after crossing the line in 58.84.

In the 3,000 meters, Emily Marchini finished third with a personal best time of 10:10.92 and Jamie Brusa recorded a personal best time of 10:19.59 to finish eighth.

Kierra Gabe rounded out the top 10 finishes for the Chanticleers in the triple jump with a 36'7.75" (11.17m) leap, good enough for eighth overall.

The Chanticleers travel back to Clemson Saturday, Feb. 19 for the Tiger Tune which will be the last meet before the Big South Indoor Championships on Feb. 24-25.
