CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team used four three pointers in the second half to overcome a four point deficit and down the Presbyterian College Blue Hose 47-34 to pick up its second consecutive conference win.

Coastal Carolina, 8-13 (2-7 Big South), has now won back-to-back games by double-digits for the first time this season while holding both opponents under 35 points.

Olivia Irick paced all scorers in the game with 12 points. It was Irick's 13th double-digit scoring effort of the season, a Coastal Carolina team-high. Jessica Noll was Coastal's top rebounder for the first time this season as she matched her season-high with seven boards.

Presbyterian College, 6-15 (3-6 Big South), was led by Mariah Pietrowski's 11 points and Sherece Smith's nine boards.

The Chanticleers finished the afternoon shooting 31.6 percent from the floor, 31.3 percent from three, and 42.9 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hose shot 25 percent from the field, its third worse performance of the year, and 15 percent (3-of-20) from three point land.

Presbyterian College opened the second half on an 8-4 run over the first six minutes of play to cut the Coastal Carolina lead to 25-24. After several missed opportunities by both teams, the Blue Hose's Sherece Smith drained a jumper to give Presbyterina College its first lead of the game at 26-25. On its next possession, the Blue Hose widened its lead as Amanda Mills connected on a deep trey.

The Chants' Irick answered on the team's ensuing possession as she made her first three pointer of the contest from the right wing to bring the home team back within a point at 29-28. Following a media timeout, Katie White and Sydnei Moss used back to back possessions to put the Chanticleers back in front. White's eight foot jumper was her first basket of the game while Moss' three was the Chants third triple of the game. Two trips down the floor later Katie Ahaus connected from long range to cap the home team's 11-0 run and give Coastal a 36-29 lead with 4:43 left to play.

Coastal Carolina would finish the game on a 11-5 run with four of those points coming from Irick at the free throw line in the final 38 seconds.

With the Coastal holding a slight 8-6 edge on the scoreboard with 12 minutes remaining in the first half, the Chants used a 10-5 run over the next eight minutes to open up the lead to 18-11. Presbyterian College would use a 5-3 scoring run of its own to close out then half and trim the Chanticleers' lead to 21-16 heading into the locker rooms.

Prior to the start of the game, White was presented a game ball by Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek and head coach Alan LeForce for her achievement of becoming Coastal Carolina's all-time blocked shots leader on Jan. 29 against Radford.

Coastal will return to action on Feb. 12 as Winthrop comes to Conway. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. from Kimbel Arena. The Chanticleers defeated the Eagles 48-29 on Jan. 31 to pick up its first Big South Conference victory of the season.

Presbyterian College will step out of conference to play at Savannah State on Monday, Feb. 7.
