CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Coastal Carolina sophomore Jessica Alexander has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Women's Golfer of the Week the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Alexander tied for fifth at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate (par 72, 5,963 yards) with a 3-over par 219 (74-72-73), marking her fourth Top 10 finish of the season. She moved up two spots on the leaderboard after the first day and helped the Chanticleers place fourth out of 17 teams, which included Big South member Charleston Southern.

It's the second time this spring and third time this season that Alexander has won the award.

Alexander and the Chanticleers return to the course April 1-3 when Coastal takes part in the Rebel Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Mississippi at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
