Linger Longer Invitational Results and Live Scoring
GREENSBORO, Ga. - Coastal Carolina trimmed two strokes off its round one score, carding a 298 on Monday, but remained in ninth play at the Linger Longer Invitational, played on Great Waters Golf Course at Reynolds Plantation.
Day one co-leader Alabama distanced itself from the field on day two, firing a 10-under par 278 with Chattanooga, who was the other co-leader after day one, standing in second after a one-over par 289 on Monday, 11 strokes behind the Crimson Tide.
On Monday, freshman Roberto Ballesteros and Steve Delmar led the Chanticleers, each carding a two-over-par 74. Ballesteros, who shot 76 in round one, is tied for 30th with a 36-hole score of 150. Delmar shaved 11 strokes off his round one score of 85 for his 74 and has a 36-hole score of 159 to tie for 67th. Delmar had three birdies Monday, the same as he did on Sunday, but the biggest difference was that he had a par on his 18th hole, the 392-yard, par 4 ninth after taking a nine on the hole Sunday. Charlie Winegardner sot a 77 on Monday and his two-day score of 150 puts him in a tie for 30th with Ballesteros.
Tripp McAllister, who shot 75 Sunday, turned in a team-low 73 on Tuesday, thanks to four birdies and five bogeys, and the redshirt junior is tied for 21st with a 148. Sebastian Soderberg is tied for 62nd after rounds of 76-80 and two-day total of 156. Drew Ernst, playing as an individual, also has a two-day score of 156 to tie for 62nd.
The Linger Longer Invitational will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
