CONWAY - After winning its fifth straight Big South Tournament Championship on Saturday, the Coastal Carolina baseball team will be the No. 3 seed in the Clemson Regional June 3-6 and will face No. 2 Connecticut Friday from Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Regional host Clemson will be the No. 1 seed and will play fourth-seeded Sacred Heart in its opening game. Game times have yet to be determined. Please check back to GoCCUSports.com for further information.

Per NCAA guidelines, Coastal Carolina is only allotted 200 tickets from the regional host school, and those tickets will be allocated for player parents, coaches, university personnel and department personnel.
Coastal Carolina will be making its 11th NCAA Regional appearance in school history, its fifth straight and 10th in the last 11 years. The only time the Chants failed to make the postseason came in 2006 when Coastal finished 30-27 and was third in the Big South.
The Chanticleers have been a #1 Regional seed in three of the last four years, hosting the 2007 Myrtle Beach Regional, the 2008 Conway Regional and the 2010 Myrtle Beach Regional. Coastal went on to play North Carolina (in Cary, N.C.) in the 2008 Super Regional and hosted eventual National Champion South Carolina in the 2010 Super Regional.
Coastal Carolina has won at least 40 games for the 12th time in head coach Gary Gilmore's 16 years at the helm. The Chanticleers have accomplished that feat in each of the last five seasons and 12 of the past 14 years. The only two times when Coastal finished with fewer than 40 wins was during the 2000 season (34-24) and the 2006 season (30-27).
