CHARLESTON, S.C. - Junior Amanda Malatek and sophomore Dominique De Wit rallied from a 1-6 deficit to win the B1 flight 8-6 over Grace Baker and Olivia McMillan from the College of Charleston on Sunday, Sept. 18.
"I'm very proud of Amanda and Dom, they had three hard fought matches where they worked great together and came away with the flight victory," said head coach Catherine Hewitt.
Seniors Miki Bunea and Diana Mortlock came up short in the doubles final of the A1 flight, losing a nailbiter, 8-6.
"Miki and Diana came up just a few points short of winning the match but continue to show great progress," said Hewitt.
The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will next compete in the ITA Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C. The event will run from Thursday, October 20 through Monday, October 24.
