CONWAY - As we count down to tipoff, each day GoCCUSports.com will profile the lighter side of the Chanticleer Basketball teams. Today's student-athletes to be profiled are Ressa Borkovich, and the winner of the 2012 HOOPLA dance contest, Tristian Curtis.
- What is your personal goal for this season? To do the best I can to become Big South Freshman of the Year, and do whatever it takes to contribute to my team winning.
- What got you started in basketball? I've always been very athletic.
- What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? If I do not become a professional basketball player, I would like to be a physical therapist.
- Where is your hometown? Nassau, Bahamas.
- What motivates you on the court? The will to win and my competitive spirit motivates me on the court.
- How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Simply by staying positive and motivating my teammates.
- Who is your role model? Kobe Bryant.
- What would you say to your biggest fan? Thank you for being my biggest fan and I will do my best to entertain you.
- Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Do unto others as you want done unto you.
- What is your biggest pet-peeve? Hypocrites.
- What is your favorite pre-game meal? Pancakes.
- Do you have any superstitions? I do not have any.
- What teams are you most excited to play this year? Clemson.
- What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? Finally making it to a division one college.
- If you could be an animal what would you be? A jaguar.
- What is your personal goal for this season? To get some playing time and help my team.
- What got you started in basketball? My dad played basketball so I wanted to play to.
- What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? I want to go to medical school and become a trauma surgeon.
- Where is your hometown? Traverse City, Michigan.
- What motivates you on the court? Encouragement from my coaches and teammates.
- How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Encouraging others to work hard helps to keep them focused.
- Who is your role model? My dad.
- Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Family is forever.
- What is your biggest pet-peeve? Loud, arrogant people.
- What is your favorite pre-game meal? Anything healthy.
- Do you have any superstitions? No.
- What teams are you most excited to play this year? I'm excited to scrimmage Georgia Tech and play North Carolina.
- What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? Beating Traverse City Central for the 2012 conference championship while playing with a broken hand.
- If you could be an animal what would you be? A horse.
