CONWAY - As we count down to tipoff, each day GoCCUSports.com will profile the lighter side of the Chanticleer Basketball teams. Today's student-athletes to be profiled are Anthony Raffa and Alexx Puckett.
- What is your personal goal for this season? Win the Big South Championship.
- What got you started in basketball? My father.
- What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? Become either a chef at my parents' restaurant or a basketball coach.
- Where is your hometown? Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
- What motivates you on the court? Everything.
- How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Positive talk.
- Who is your role model? My friend Lamar Green.
- What would you say to your biggest fan? Thanks for the support.
- What is your biggest pet-peeve? People that cannot drive.
- What is your favorite pre-game meal? Chicken Parmesan.
- Do you have any superstitions? I do not have any.
- What teams are you most excited to play this year? Everyone.
- What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? Beating LSU two years in a row.
- If you could be an animal what would you be? A lion.
Alexx Puckett
- What is your personal goal for this season? Do better than my last two seasons combined.
- What got you started in basketball? My brother played so I wanted to follow him.
- What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? Go to grad school.
- Where is your hometown? Indianapolis, Indiana.
- What motivates you on the court? I've learned to motivate myself.
- How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Constant motivation.
- Who is your role model? My three siblings.
- What would you say to your biggest fan? Thanks for the support.
- Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Everything happens for a reason.
- What is your biggest pet-peeve? When people talk with food in their mouth.
- What is your favorite pre-game meal? Chicken, potatoes and salad.
- Do you have any superstitions? I write on my ankle tape before every game.
- What teams are you most excited to play this year? Every conference opponent.
- What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? When my high school team won the state championship my freshman year.
- If you could be an animal what would you be? A bird.
