Final Stats
CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team shutout USC Upstate 7-0 Saturday morning at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center.
The Chants swept the doubles portion with Maria Hesketh and Kourtney Kowal setting the tone with an 8-0 win at the No. 3 slot. Miki Bunea and Diana Mortlock won their match 8-2 followed by Mikaela Kristofersson and Katie Fosnacht winning the last match 8-2.
Coastal won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Bunea, Mortlock, Kristofersson, Fosncaht and Kowal all won in straight sets while Hesketh came from behind to win 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.
Coastal stays at home to face the Catamounts of Western Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m.
