CONWAY - Women's tennis player Katie Fosnacht has been named The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week for matches played March 19-25, announced today by the Big South.

Fosnacht tallied three wins in singles and one win in doubles to help Coastal to a 2-1 record last week. She got her week started with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Natasha Afridi in the No. 3 position as Coastal defeated Campbell, 4-3. On March 23, vs. Cornell, Fosnacht paired up with Mikaela Kristofersson to defeat Christine Ordway and Gabby Sullivan, 8-5, before earning a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Lauren Frazier in the No. 4 spot. Fosnacht also topped Li Linden at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1, in the 6-1 win over Chicago.

This marks the fourth time this season that the Blythewood, S.C., native has won this award. She currently holds a 12-2 singles record and a 10-3 record in doubles matches in her first collegiate season.

Coastal travels to UNC Wilmington on Wednesday, March 28, for a 2:30 p.m. match against the Seahawks.
