2014 NSCAA All-Region Teams
CONWAY - Coastal Carolina forward Kacey Kelley has added to her list of accolades following a stellar senior season by being selected to the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region Third Team.
Kelley becomes the first Coastal Carolina women's player to be honored by the NSCAA and the second in program history to earn All-Region recognition. CCU Sasser Hall of Fame member Ashleigh Gunning was a Soccer Buzz All-Region third-team selection in 2007.
The NSCAA's Southeast Region includes schools from the ACC, Atlantic Sun, Big South and Southern Conference.
Kelley was named the Big South Attacking Player of the Year after helping lead Coastal to a runner-up finish in the conference during the regular season and its first conference tournament win since 2008. She ranked second in the league with 12 goals and 29 points, while dishing out five assists. The 12 goals were the fourth-most in program history, the points total is tied for fourth all-time and her 100 shots are the third-most for a single season. She tallied four game-winning goals and assisted on two others.
"I am very proud of Kacey for getting recognized for a great senior season," head coach Paul Hogan said. "Her hard work, competitiveness and goal scoring were the catalyst for our season."
Kelley finished her career as a three-time All-Big South member ranking fourth in goals (29), tied for fourth in points (67) and third in shots (224) in Coastal history.
